I’ve always been excited about sport and exercise. My journey began at university, studying for a BSc (Hons) in Applied Sport Science. From there I’ve worked in the fitness industry for over 14 years, starting in a gym and then building my own independent business. Over this time my qualifications and experience have grown. In 2024 I added Pilates to my list of skills, adding another element to my approach to training.

Fitness isn’t just a job for me, it’s always been a huge part of my life.  I have competed in triathlons and running events over the years, giving me a focus and drive to keep fit and active.  In 2019 my daughter arrived, followed by a son in 2022. Since then my training and work focus has changed dramatically, encouraging me to expand my knowledge to include pre- and post-natal training and teaching me how to juggle work, life and family!

My own training and life experiences have contributed to my working knowledge of fitness.  The combination of my qualifications and personal experience have given me a breath of knowledge but my clients are still helping me to learn more.  Everyone I train is different, has different goals and different personal situations.  Working with my clients has been my greatest learning tool.

What People Say

Emma has been my personal trainer for 8 years. Over that period she has challenged me to do exercise that I would never have been confident to do myself

Margaret

Emma has helped me think a lot about nutrition and the psychology behind my behaviours and how to manage a long term illness that limits my options for being active.

Claire

My illness knocks me down a lot but Emma has been a teacher and an inspiration on how to get up again and, most importantly, how to want to get up again.
